Sushi, Soup, & Pie...Oh My!

"After Nashville sushi and a long debate on Bob Dylan, we went into Woodland Studios at 10 pm that night for a look around, we jammed for 5 hours solid."  Robyn Hitchcock

This quote has a double meaning, well many meanings, but today for me it has two. I almost made an impulse trip to Nashville today to meet up with someone who was there for the night. This someone is from Florida, we'll call him Elbo (after the Elbo Room bar in Ft Lauderdale where we met in May.) We have chatted for a couple of months and planning trips to see each other. He's coming here in early August to see me, and I thought his one-night business trip in Nashville would be more fun if I was there.
I am also a person who bought the IPhone (full priced first one) after 2 glasses of wine & lunch impulsively. I can be quite spontaneous.

This morning entirely sober, it didn't seem as reasonable as it did last night while discussing it with my friend Alyssa over a nice bottle of Reisling...

Anyhoo, tonight I also had an insane craving for Avocado sushi, so there ya have it. Meal complete with a mushroom/barley soup from Whole Foods that I love.
Alyssa is also one of my best friends and today she brought me a VEGAN mini dark chocolate pecan pie! Love her!

P.S. The title of this post is also inspired from my favorite movie of all time, obviously, The Wizard of Oz.  Hence the pic at the top swooning in D.C. with the Ruby Slippers! Enjoy!
